What you will be doing

As Lead Engineer and Scrum Master you will be developing and owning our comprehensive app content management system/mobile web apps and manage the day to day development in a scrum master role coordinating a small team.

• Design and implement new mobile marketing modules for the product
• Extend and maintain existing functionality and the core mobile infrastructure (push notifications, web framework, REST apis, security infrastructure, application stack, etc.)
• Facilitate continuous integration and deployment to test services. Work closely with mobile developers to allow for continuous integration with mobile apps.
• Release Management and deployment testing
• Facilitate and coordinate daily stand up meetings
• Facilitate resolving obstacles in the team
• Manage/prioritize backlog with the Product Owner
• Working closely with QA team to ensure platform quality and facilitate releases

Skillset required

• 8+ years’ Experience in web application development (strong)
• Experience in programming Groovy / Grails and Java (strong)
• Experience in HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery (strong)
• Experience in SQL, Unix and Tomcat/MySQL
• Experience in developing in agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies
• Experience as scrum master or ready to take the step to become scrum master
• Very strong communicator and always taking full ownership
• Great analytical skills for troubleshooting
• Pragmatic approach, problem solver, goal driven individual
• Affinity to or even experience in mobile and mobile apps / web apps
